Creative craft for industrial symbiosis in circular economies

The Textile Centre Haslach is part of an EU Interreg project that focuses on circular economy and the recycling of textile waste. It aims to make textile waste generated in industry available as a resource for craft and design processes and to use it to create new products by professional artisans.

OPEN CALL Individual work in the Textile Centre Haslach in cooperation with ETN

The Textile Centre Haslach, in cooperation with the European Textile Network ETN, is announcing an artist-in-residence program for 1 person each in the following three areas from 6 – 15 August 2025:

• Tufting
• Dobby weaving (on handlooms)
• Jacquard weaving (TC1 and mechanical, electronically controlled loom)

beFLÜGELt

beFLÜGELt - this is the motto of the last summer symposium TEXTILE KULTUR HASLACH, which took place between 17 July and 4 August 2023. In a special exhibition still show the collection of Marianne Flügel, a textile didactic who traveled all her life, collected various baskets, bags, ribbons and textile everyday objects from different cultures, analyzed them and partly reworked them.
