The Museum Mechanische Klangfabrik and the Museum of Weaving in the Textile Centre Haslach were awarded the Austrian Museum Seal of Quality in recognition of their excellent museum work.

Since 2002, particularly high-quality museum work has been recognised with a seal of quality. [This is public proof that these museums take responsibility for the preservation of cultural heritage and ensure that visitors are offered an outstanding museum experience.

With the Mechanische Klangfabrik and the Webereimuseum in Haslach, two museums in Haslach can once again look forward to receiving the award this year. The certificates were presented at a ceremony in the newly opened Vienna Museum.

Austria boasts a diverse museum landscape with almost 800 registered museums. Museums are cultural repositories of memory and knowledge whose core task is to make these repositories accessible to the general public.
